Let us reflect on art a little!

So much for bedrooms for now, wall paintings and other decorative arts to make our surroundings an eye candy. Let's reflect on art for the meantime. Yes, we know that art is an expression. It is a voice. And a representation of an inner thought. But to what extent this expression can go?

It is like speech. You may hit someone if that someone is hitting on you and you do not have enough patience to endure the person's attack-- be it blatant or subtle. The tendency is to fight back. And yes, we understand that. But what if your expression is to mock something that is not even hurting you? It is just that it doesn't adhere to what you believe in but it doesn't oppose too. We know why there was war in human history. Most of these were rooted from faith and religion. Isn't it enough to learn RESPECT not unless you want one view down to embrace yours which best explained the notion of conquer and conquest. All politics!

Yes, I believe. But you believe in something else. Can't we be friends? Would you respect my practices which surely will not hurt you?

There is an incident where an art exhibit tripped on the image of Christ in so many ways---yes..call them " creative ways". Okay, let us disregard sanctity, divinity, or holiness because not all even believe that these words exist. Let us respect that. But let us just put it this way. You have carved an image. And this image keeps your company. For years, you see this so alive. Call it imaginary or a sentimental value, it does not matter. This practice of yours was made known to your peers, family, friends, loved ones. Simply put, people know how important this image is for you. And because others find it strange, some group started using this image for mockery, a laughing stock. How would you feel?

And yes, it is all creativity! It is art.

Art is an expression and it becomes art in the strictest sense of the word when it is derived from imagination with your feelings and thoughts combined to it and not intended to hit someone negatively.

We cut this short.
