The Still Life Around Us

Sometimes, it is the inanimate objects that give us life
than those who are living around us. Why not? It is not just the living that we
need. The technology gadgets, tools, appliances, furniture, wall painting, our
clothes may look still and dead but it is them that keep us alive and comfortable
to embrace life even more with zest and passion. Just for a quick reality
check, what is ‘us’ without them?

People around us may hurt us but the things around you that
are blessings from the heavens and by –products, too, of God’s creation are
meant to serve you as long as you need them.

They cannot be taken for granted. They should be loved. They should be
well taken care of not for the reason that we have worked too hard to have them
because material things are meant for us to have, to keep, to replace even for
people who have had the chance to amass huge income. But we treasure them for a
thought that they are by-products of God’s creations. The materials used to
create these objects that surround us are from natural resources that God
created and the skills and brains, talent, passion, determination to come up
with something like artworks for sale to entertain us or to simply serve people
like our home appliances are from God’s best creation—humans! From these things around us, we know that being not grateful with what we have is totally ignoring what God has in store
for us.

In fact, many would fight for these things than fighting for
the living around them. It is logical as to how people can just inflict pain on
someone, or as to how they can just scheme to emotionally torture a person. It
is very understandable then if given the choice of what to value, you can point
exactly that you want a piece of chair saved than the person sitting next to
you. When many would disgust the thought, God understands. He knows the
feeling. He would even send calamities to destroy a fraction of the population
to show how much He loved the Earth that is being continuously tampered or
destroyed. He knows that humanity has been continuously losing its value and
that a piece of wall painting can even be more valuable.

People can just inflict pain to one another, frame up their fellowmen to something bad so that
the rest will look good, harass underground to prove a point, and retaliate
over wrong judgment, and kill one another for money and power. And yes, how the
heavens would regret for the earth they destroy!
