Addicting Music Videos

There are music videos running for a few minutes that you cannot trade for a full movie of three hours running time. Nothing beats a brilliant performer on his vocals, dancing, and showmanship which is acting per se, rolled into one. Add graphics and effects, and you find yourself playing the MV over again for hours like getting your eyes hooked to an artwork forsale you see in the nearby store.

Graphics and effects add wonders. We can just imagine these videos without them to be dull and flat. But then it is the performance of the artists that matters big time. Listening to the song is different from watching music videos or staring at a wall painting. One may find the song addicting but he or she may not be entertained with its official video. Or this can be the other way around, you may not like the song but its video is just captivating. Contributing factors to overall quality of mv’s are as mentioned-- graphics, effects, and concept of the video. But then, these are all trash if the performance of the artist is not great enough to captivate the hearts of the viewers.  What are mentioned are just adds-on, it is the showmanship or the artistry of the performer that counts a lot. Leave the kind of Michael Jackson alone and a cameraman to capture the performance, and we can still assume that the video will be a blast untouched with graphics and special effects. It is the artistry that goes beyond singing and dancing and others more.

It is the passion, confidence, and innate talent of the person that makes a music video not just a song in motion.  The brilliance of the music video is in the face, the eyes, the twist of the lips, and the movement of the body in sync with the rhythm that make the viewers hooked to it. You see the passion in every angle of their facial structure and it is like a wall painting in its details from the style, to the brush used, and combination of colors to create a certain effect that will appeal to the emotion of the viewer.
