Our old folks home decors

Moms do not just think of furniture and appliances. They make sure that along with these home items are figurines or other artworks which primarily are wall decors or wall paintings. Despite the new trend of going minimal in interior design, moms and our old folks still find it hard to discard their addiction of busy look in the house.

We see typical house that are not too modern in style and design and find our moms’ usual type of making the house looks so busy where it seems that all artworks and figurines that have been collected since time immemorial are still in display. They do not just find them beautiful but of sentimental values. Some were gifts by those people they met in their lifetime while the rest are their personal collections from wandering around to different destinations. Instead of keeping them in the attic, they prefer it more in the open and introduce each along with their historical background and some memories that are attached to it to all those who are visiting their house. So in the world where fad is ‘less is more’, its takes a huge amount of free will for our old folks to give up its usual concept of interior design to pave way to what is deemed modern nowadays.

These figurines and other wall arts may be becoming a home to dust and mosquitoes or these maybe outmoded but no one can blame anyone who gets attached to artworks because these do not just beautify our homes but definitely they bring back memories.
